There are several different ways Quaker churches worship. Denver Friends Church as an Evangelical Friends Church uses a "programmed" format. This means we have a pastor who preaches a sermon and we sing worship songs and hymns. Other Quaker Meetings are "unprogrammed" which means they spend their entire hour in silence with people speaking when prompted by the Holy Spirit. Denver Friends also has a silent time called "Open Worship" where we listen individually to what God has to say and if prompted speak to the congregation.
Our Mission
We seek to know and follow the real Christ in the real world.
This faith community is grateful for all of those among us -- from tentative seekers to seasoned men and women of faith. We pray that God will graciously form within us a culture of spiritual vitality that is a distinguishing characteristic of our congregation.
